| 01/12/09, Staff blog: Enduring A Tough Time |
Blog Entry From Wang & Li Beijing Sr. Associate, S. W.
On October 27th 2008, I joined Wang & Li Asia Resources to be a member of this family. This is my first attempt with a recruitment consulting firm, and a first attempt for Wang & Li. I hope that it is the correct choice in for career and that will be very successful.
Now, it is a very tough time for the entire world. During this period, we are suffering from a terrible financial crisis, which is more formidable than the bursting of the dotcom bubble in 2001. The financial crisis this time has made many people lose their job, and also some of the world’s top-tier companies disappear in the market. For the recruitment industry, it is going to be a severe test in the coming days.
However, when I entered Wang & Li, I found that it has a very cooperative team and a long tradition of excellence. So I think it is very fortunate for me to face such a crisis environment while learning and working here. With my gradual, in-depth understanding of Wang & Li, I have confidence for the company’s success through this tough time, just as it survived during that very difficult time in 2001.
I have been here for more than two months now. Although it’s a relatively short time in my career, I believe it will greatly impact my career planning in the future. My confidence in Wang & Li comes from several things that I’ve learned in the past two months. The three that have most impressed me are:
1) Development In Wang & Li
Wang & Li has a well-developed training system. For different roles, there are different training approaches and targets that help newcomers to fit into the new environment rapidly and to carry out their jobs effectively. I believe this is an area of superiority that other companies in our field do not go beyond us.
2) Lifestyle In Wang & Li
Wang & Li also has an open and friendly team that is willing to help any new colleagues with any problems. They will make any suggestions for you from their experience in Wang & Li. This supportive, family atmosphere is very praiseworthy to me and gives me a warm feeling.
3) Events And Activities In Wang & Li
Wang & Li also organizes a number of events and activities, such as our open-house mixers or presentations about today’s hiring market situation or new developments in our industry. Through these kinds of activities, we can touch many sectors of society to understand them better and to enrich ourselves.
Because of the above things, I am confident and determined about our future! In the new year of 2009, through the entire efforts of the Wang & Li family, we can make it through this tough time smoothly. And I believe that after managing through a severe winter, there will come a beautiful spring for Wang &Li!

It would be more useful if your bloggers could talk about the Chinese job market, rather than talking about Wang and Li. Most visitors to this site are probably prospective candidates and are interested in their careers, not the careers of the recruitment consultants.
