| Wang & Li Recognized As China’s 2008 Recruitment Firm Of The Year

On Thursday evening, November 27, 2008, at the 11th Annual, China Staff Human Resources Awards at the Four Seasons Hotel in Shanghai, our company, Wang & Li Asia Resources, had a very special moment when we were named The 2008 Recruitment Firm of the Year for China. This award is especially meaningful to us given the six other well-established, much larger finalists entered in our category (including MRI, the winner for the previous three years) and because of the roughly 5000 recruitment firms that are said to be operating in China.
Although this award recognizes Wang & Li as The Recruitment Firm of the Year for 2008, for our company, it is really an acknowledgement of our 14+ years of persistent adherence to our consulting orientation to our business (rather than sales orientation), commitment to our QAS services delivery to clients (Quality candidates, Accuracy, and Speed), and candidate-friendly, high value-added approach to the professional communities that we service and support. The award is also a meaningful validation of how far we’ve fought back and come after the bursting of the Internet bubble in early-2001, during which there were too many occasions to recall over the following, very difficult three years where we were on the verge of closing our doors for good.
There have been so many clients, candidates, and just as friends who have supported us over the years, during both our up and down times. We’d like to not only thank them, but also the many ex-Wang & Li’ers out there who made their contributions and left their mark on our company.
Mostly though, this award belongs to our current Wang & Li staff in both our Shanghai and Beijing offices, who more than anyone else has achieved this result for our company. Together, they make up a group of humble, hardworking professionals that strives each day to be outstanding at what they do. The commitment, heart, and excellence that they bring and deliver to our company daily make me extremely proud to be working with and leading every one of them.
Because of their talent and dedication, I can assure you that Wang & Li will continue to improve and deliver our quality search services to both the clients and candidates that we serve, and that we will continue to live up to this recognition that has been given to us as The 2008 Recruitment Firm of the Year for China.
